Sign Up for a Dermatology Clinical Trial
Finding an effective treatment for a skin condition can be very difficult. Everyone’s symptoms are different, root causes are different, and risk factors are different. This means that even if someone is suffering from the same skin condition as you, the treatment method they are successfully using may not work on you. If you want to try something new and different, multiple Dermatology Clinical Trials are underway for a variety of skin conditions. What is a Clinical Trial?
Clinical trials are part of clinical research and are at the heart of all medical advances. Clinical trials examine new ways to prevent, detect, or treat disease. Clinical trials can study:
- New drugs or new combinations of drugs
- New ways of doing surgery
- New medical devices
- New ways to use existing treatments
- New ways to change behaviors to improve health
- New ways to improve the quality of life for people with acute or chronic illnesses.
Clinical trials aim to determine if these treatment, prevention, and behavior approaches are safe and effective. People take part in clinical trials for many reasons. Healthy volunteers say they take part in helping others and contributing to moving science forward. People with an illness or disease also take part in helping others, possibly receiving the newest treatment and having added (or extra) care and attention from the clinical trial staff. Clinical trials offer hope for many people and a chance to help researchers find better treatments for others in the future.
Becoming a Participant
Becoming a participant in a clinical trial is not a long, complicated process. In fact, since human participants are the most important aspect of our clinical trials, we make the process quick and easy. It is broken down into three easy steps:
- Talk with us on the phone. Simply contact us at (682) 900-2513 or click here to fill out a short form with your contact information. We will prequalify you over the phone and talk about the study in detail.
- Meet us in person. If you prequalify during the initial phone call, we will set up an appointment at the end of the call to meet with you in person to finalize your eligibility for the study. If you meet the study guidelines, you will be asked to join!
- Start the study. Once you’ve agreed to participate in the study, you will be compensated for your time and travel during study appointments at our clinic.
